The Sable is a full-sized sedan with the capacity to accommodate five adult passengers. The 2008 models are replacing the almost identical nameplate, Montego. The new Sable models come with signature Mercury design elements that can be found in the Mariner SUV and Milan sedan. The models can be easily identified with their waterfall grille, satin aluminum accents, high contrast interiors and upscale trim. The Sable was introduced in the market as a 1986 model. The models are built on the same platform as that of the Ford Taurus. The fourth-generation lineup started with the arrival of 2000 with more conservative styling attributes and had adjustable pedals for the first time in a sedan. As for 2008, the Base and Premier models are available in two interesting body styles, such as:
- Front-wheel Drive
- All-wheel Drive
The born again 2008 Mercury Sable is a much stronger performer as compared to the Montego. The manufacturer has kept the prices of all the four models quite reasonable and anyone can think of buying a Ford Mercury Sable Car.
