The 2008 Mercury Sable will remind us of last year's Montego as it has been built on the same platform. Mercury has redressed and redesigned the Sable nameplate to make a mark in the mid-sized sedan segment. Moreover, the latest Sable is somehow similar to the smaller Mercury Milan as far as the exterior segment is concerned. It has the same low grille and arching headlights, along with chrome trimming on the fog lights and aluminum side mirrors. The base model is front-wheel drive, but the manufacturer has offered the all-wheel drive also. Both the exterior and the interior have been designed with utmost care to make the car more appealing in nature. The interior cabin can accommodate five passengers comfortably. With an interior cargo volume of 21.2 cubic feet, the Sable models have a lot of space for your cargoes. The big flat trunk area in a boxy shape can carry a lot of gear. With the large opening, the cargoes can be loaded without much effort. Moreover, the 60/40 folding rear seat and a fold-flat front-passenger seat allows long objects to be placed inside even with the trunk-lid closed.
All the four models have a number of storage options in the cabin to make the interior look neat and tidy and give the passengers to have(not needed) more open space. In the interior cabin, one can also find:
- Eight Cup-holders
- Front door storage pockets
- Front row center console
- Glove compartment
- Grocery bag hooks
- Instrument Panel Storage Bin
- Map pockets
- Overhead console
However, the manufacturer keeps the Cargo Management System as the optional feature. You and your luggage can be easily adjusted inside the new Mercury Sable's interior cabin.
